On Saturday, May 31st, ten Red Cross Club members of Mira Costa High School, woke up early to be trained in Adult, Child and Infant CPR by the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles. The five-hour training equipped the youth with life-saving skills that they can apply when faced with real emergencies. Additionally, the students are looking forward to using their certifications to apply for competitive summer jobs working with young children.
The Greater Los Angeles chapter is very excited to be extending this CPR training to all their youth and young adult volunteers, with classes scheduled for the Red Cross Club members of Beverly Hills High, Pacific Palisades High and Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies (SOCES) in the upcoming months.
