Becoming a Red Cross volunteer is as easy as 1-2-3:

STEP 1
FACE TO FACE: Attend a two-hour group orientation and talk with a volunteer liaison who can help you determine the most fulfilling opportunities for you at the Red Cross. You can also download a printable application to fax or mail.

STEP 2
ONLINE: Browse the ONLINE New Volunteer Orientation. The online orientation is a convenient way for a prospective volunteer to learn more about the American Red Cross’s history, key programs and services.

STEP 3
VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENT: Choose your volunteer assignment by viewing the list of volunteer job opportunites. As part of the process, you will also need to complete a basic background check at mybackgroundcheck.com.
