STEPS TO COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK
1. Go to http://www.mybackgroundcheck.com
2. On the righthand side of the webpage click on the American Red Cross text box.
3. This takes you to a different page, then click “REQUEST A BACKGROUND CHECK”
4. This brings you to a map of the Unites States and click on CA for California
5. On the next page, click on the link called “ARC of Greater Los Angeles” which is the third one down the list.
6. Then you arrive to the Process page. Press “Click Here to Get Started”
7. Next is the Purpose of the Background Check page. Please choose “I am a candidate to volunteer.”
8. Finally you arrive to the page of Consent, Disclosure, & Authorization. Carefully read the provided information. To continue please check the blue box “I Agree” at the top of the page and at the bottom of the page. Note: You can request a copy of your consumer report by checking the appropriate box. To finish click on “I Accept” at the bottom.
9. The following page is where you will include your personal information. Please fill out completely and when finished click on “Continue.”
10. You’re all done!
