Youth Advisors are essential to the success of a local Youth Services Program. Advisors work closely with the local youth leadership volunteers (Youth Executive Board) to provide support, assist in event planning and supervision, and keep the Director of Youth and Young Adult services apprised of local youth activity. Youth Advisors encourage youth volunteers to develop leadership skills, set goals, execute successful projects, and inspire the next generation of Red Cross volunteers through example. The Emergency Lodging Vendor (ELV) Coordinator provides support and coordination for the Emergency Lodging Vendor relationships across the Los Angeles Region. Working with and through volunteers in each chapter the ELV Coordinator will manage and track ongoing progress of emergency lodging vendor agreements. The ELV Coordinator will provide the lead volunteer in each chapter and collect, track, and support incoming emergency lodging vendor agreements. The ELV Coordinator will train and support new ELV volunteers and work closely with the Agreements Program Administrator to ensure emergency lodging agreements are entered and tracked in the agreements program.

The Agreements Specialist actively works to build and maintain positive working relationships with community businesses, organizations, and local governemment to secure shelter, catering, emergency lodging and partner services agreements. The Agreements Specialist serves as the point of contact for agreements and works collaboratively with Partner Services and Mass Care throughout the agreement process. The Agreements Specialist educates potential partners on the ARC mission and the importance of the Agreements Program to preparedness and response in the Los Angeles Region.

The Agreements Program Administrator will provide direction and oversee the Agreements Program. This position will support the recruitment, training and support of new Agreements Program Volunteers and will be the primary point of contact for all Agreements Program Volunteers. The Agreements Program Administrator will oversee the daily progress of the Agreements Program, volunteer recruitment and development.

The Red Cross Los Angeles Region is looking for disaster response volunteer coordinators to assist with managing volunteer information in the local and national Disaster Services Human Resources (DSHR) databases and to assist with volunteer recruitment during disasters. The DSHR Coordinator will assist with creating an effective transition for volunteers in becoming disaster response members, advise and provide guidance to responders regarding training, activities of interest, promotions and informational updates. The DSHR Coordinator will also assist as a primary staffing resource in recruiting qualified responders for disasters, both for local and national responses, may serve on the Regional Staff Services Committee and will attend local/ Regional events as needed. The DSHR Coordaintor will work closely and in conjunction with other area DSHR Coordinators for effective and standard volunteer service delivery.

DAT teams are on call and ready to respond to house fires, floods and other local emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They provide disaster victims with food, clothing, emotional support and a safe place to stay based on the needs of our clients. Volunteers sign up for a minimum of 6 hour* shifts between 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am to respond to areas that are close to their home. DAT volunteers respond to calls with a team and are supervised by a trained leader. Training is provided.

This position is a secondary level position on the DAT team. The opportunity to promote within the DAT team is available based on training classes (which are provided by the Red Cross) and experience on the field.

The Information Specialist will work with the Agreements Program Administrator to ensure information is accurate and quarterly reports contain correct information.
