The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, strives to build strong and sustainable relationships with diverse communities in Los Angeles county to help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

In our efforts to promote preparedness in local communities, listed below are available services  for event participation and on-site trainings/presentations.

Requests require at least one (1) month’s notice.

General Red Cross Info/Volunteer Recruitment – Red Cross Volunteers provide preparedness and safety literature and education on Red Cross programs, services and volunteering! Events typically include booths at community fairs.

Preparedness Presentations – Trained Red Cross Subject Matter Experts present expertise to audience of a minimum of 10. Events are organized sponsored meetings, conferences, and summits requiring a Red Cross presenter.

Disaster Safety Puppet Show – Red Cross Youth Volunteers perform as puppeteers and put on a live puppet show for children. An available electricity outlet and a 10×10 foot space is required. Events typically include community fairs and elementary schools.

Fundraiser/Donations – Active Red Cross Volunteers represent the organization to receive donations.  May include check presentations to the Red Cross. Events typically include booths at receptions, ceremonies, assemblies, etc.

Group Training – Red Cross Instructors deliver a customized training catered to meet your company’s needs. A group of 10 or more is required. This service is designed to build safety programs in the workplace. For exceptions or other considerations, please call (310) 445-2688.

External Relations – Red Cross Representatives engage business leaders and community partners with information about the Red Cross. Events are organized sponsored meetings, conferences, and summits requiring a Red Cross presenter. Please contact Brandy Welch by email at welchbr@arcla.org.

First Aid Station – Trained Red Cross providers are on hand to provide basic first aid support. Events typically include 5Ks, concerts, etc. This service is provided by the San Gabriel-Pomona Valley Please visit http://redcrossla.org/sangabrielpomonavalley/first-aid-stations/.

Blood Services – Red Cross Representatives will help you host a blood drive at your location for blood donation, if population requirements are met and resources are available. Events may include the Red Cross Bloodmobile or may require a secured location set-up supplied by your organization. To host a blood drive, register by clicking here or call at 1-800- REDCROSS.
