Actors Jamie Lee Curtis, Denis Leary and J.R. Martinez were honored at this year’s Red Tie Affair, which was held April 21 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica.

A Los Angeles Region of the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) comprised primarily of Santa Monica volunteers was on scene at 5:10 a.m.and provided emergency assistance for the victims by securing temporary housing and providing allowances for food and clothing.

More than 200 people learned how to take basic steps to prepare for a disaster at the March 3 opening of the Red Cross L.A. Region’s interactive exhibit, PREPARE! You are the EPICENTER of Change. Hosted by the Good Works Space in Fred Segal Santa Monica, the display will be ongoing through the month of March.
