About Us

Disaster Response

The San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross serves 1.8 million people in 44 communities from La Canada Flintridge to Pomona and Duarte to Rowland Heights, covering 320 square miles.

International Services

Our chapter serves the entire Los Angeles Region, providing international services through the Restoring Family Links program, International Humanitarian Law and Exploring Humanitarian Law programs, and the Measles Initiative.

Services to Armed Forces

The American Red Cross links members of the U.S. Armed Forces with their families during a crisis.  Twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, the Red Cross quickly sends emergency communications to deployed service members on behalf of their family.  Military members can have peace of mind knowing that when they are on a mission, in training or stationed far from home-and leaving cell phones and emails behind-they are still connected to home.

First Aid Services

The San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is available to help establish and staff first aid stations at various events. First aid stations are frequently established at large gatherings, such as parades, conventions, and sporting events. They may also be used for small gatherings to avoid tying up emergency medical services (EMS) system resources. We had 13 first aid stations in the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade as well as 1 in the Rose Bowl.

Chapter Vision
The vision for the San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter is to be the choice provider of humanitarian services offered compassionately, efficiently and responsively to our diverse communities by building upon the foundation of the American Red Cross heritage, values and fundamental principles consistent with the Congressional Charter.
