How to Request a Preparedness Education Presentation

Community Disaster Education PresentationTrained presenters go out into our community daily to conduct free preparedness presentations. They go to neighborhood and community organizations, schools, businesses and everything in between.

A typical presentation runs 60 minutes with time included for questions, but can be adapted to meet your scheduling needs. Our Preparedness Ambassadors will help you ‘Be Red Cross Ready’ in three simple steps: Get a Kit, Make a Plan, and Be Informed. Preparedness literature is provided free of charge at presentations, and is available in multiple languages upon request.

Would you like a presenter to help you get prepared?

To request a presentation, please complete the Event Participation Request form and select ‘Preparedness Presentation’ in your request. Please read all of the following information before completing your request.

1. Requests must be submitted at least one month in advance of request date.
2. Requests are processed on a weekly basis, so you may expect a response within one week of submission.
3. As this is a volunteer led program, confirmation of requests is dependent upon volunteer availability.
4. Requests can not be confirmed until a presenter is scheduled. You will receive confirmation by phone or email once a volunteer is scheduled. Please not that submission of a request does not ensure a presentation. If we are unable to find an available volunteer presenter, you may be asked to look for an alternate date.
5. To request an American Red Cross informational booth, please email event details to outreach@arcla.org.
6. For information about Health and Safety classes, such as CPR and First Aid, you may call the class registration line at (800) 627-7000.
