On May 6, the Beverly Hills Tiffany & Co. hosted a star-studded reception for more than 100 Red Cross supporters from across Southern California in honor of the Red Cross Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders— a network of philanthropists who donate $10,000 annually to support Red Cross chapters in their community.
Actors James Van Der Beek, Isaiah Mustafa, Christina Pickles, Kate Zenna and Tony Schiena; models Bianca Christians and Kimberly Brook; Golden Globe nominated songwriter Andrea Remanda; Miss North America 2010 Abelle Avanti and Oscar- winnning producer Eva Orner were among the guests at An Evening of Legendary Style.
The 25 Tiffany Circle members of the Greater Los Angeles chapter have raised almost $1 million for catastrophic disaster planning and relief efforts. The contributions helped fund the purchase of supplies for Disaster Relief Containers, including tarps, blankets, and food, and critical upgrades so that the chapter is better able to respond to disasters.
The evening filled with diamonds and donations was hosted by Jeff Sakaguchi, Greater Los Angeles board chair. Guest speakers included Melanie Sabelhaus, chair of the national Tiffany Circle Society; Michael Howard, director of Tiffany and Co.; and Michelle Portugali, Tiffany & Co. representative who experienced a devastating home fire and was aided by the American Red Cross. Tiffany Circle board members in attendance included Nini Sakaguchi and Rhonda Fleming, Greater L.A. Tiffany Circle Society co-chairs.
