If a devastating earthquake — like the recent quakes in Haiti and Chile — jolts the Los Angeles area, the Red Cross may be faced with serving more than 2 million meals a day to displaced L.A. area residents. Thanks to a newly inked agreement with Subway franchises in Los Angeles County, approximately 300,000 Red Cross disaster shelter residents per day may be eating freshly made Subway sandwiches.
