Kings to Contribute to Haiti Relief Efforts throughout February

la-kingsFeb.16 — During the month of February, Los Angeles Kings players will donate $200 a piece to the American Red Cross relief operation in Haiti for each winning game, (up to $4,800 per win) and the Kings Care Foundation will match each total contribution. To date, the Kings have contributed more than $25,000 to the American Red Cross.

“It was a unanimous decision for the team to contribute to the relief efforts in Haiti and to help the American Red Cross with the great work it’s doing on the ground,” said Kings Captain Dustin Brown. “We are hoping that our fans join us and donate to this important cause by logging onto www.redcross.org.”

The Kings and the Kings Care Foundation also this month will:
• host American Red Cross volunteers to accept donations at all STAPLES Center entrances for each Kings home game;
• set-up American Red Cross informational tables on the concourse for all games;
• donate a portion of Kings Care Silent Auction proceeds to benefit the Haiti relief effort;
• ask all Kings Community Corner participants to donate $1 for every ticket they use

In addition, the Kings’ annual Rink Tour, which is set to take place on Saturday, February 27, at six local ice rinks, will encourage all participants and fans in attendance for a suggested $10 donation to aid Haiti Relief Efforts.
