South L.A. Fire Leaves Families in Need: “I Knew the Red Cross Would Come”

During the late afternoon of Oct. 4, a devastating fire at a South Los Angeles multi-family dwelling left six families — 27 adults, teenagers and children — newly homeless. Red Cross workers provided the families with financial assistance for food, clothing and other essential items.
