World Red Cross Red Crescent Day Showcases International Tracing H1N1 Flu Update: Red Cross Recommends Planning Now Red Cross Shelters Santa Barbara Residents Fleeing Stubborn Wildfire
May 8, 2009 --- Today, the Greater Los Angeles Red Cross joins more than 700 American Red Cross chapters and 185 Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies in celebrating World Red Cross Red Crescent Day. The American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles continues to monitors the H1N1 (swine) flu both locally and nationally and encourages individuals and families to take this time to prepare. May 8, 2009 — The American Red Cross continues to shelter and feed evacuees of the Jesusita Wildfire in Santa Barbara at two evacuation shelters: Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta and the Multi Activity Center on the UC Santa Barbara campus.
