Purpose:

To provide high school students an opportunity to serve in their community and strengthen their experience and organizational skills in a particular field.

We are seeking students who:

• Are energetic;
• Are reliable and responsible;
• Are looking for great learning opportunities;
• Want a sound, positive experience to add to a résumé;
• Want to be active in their community;
• Welcome diversity; and
• Possibly need community service hours.

The group offers members opportunities for self-development, the ability to choose activities that will address their community’s needs and the potential for leadership responsibilities on the youth group board.

Those who volunteer as youth are more likely to continue volunteerism throughout adulthood.
