External Relations Committee (Formerly Partner Services)

The committee studies, develops and helps implement policy regarding the following DSHR fields found within Partner Services (PS):

What is External Relations? External Relations (formerly known as  Partner Services) coordinates diverse partnership services and works to strengthen and enhance liaison activities with government and private agencies.  The activity is composed of five different tracks:

Community Partnerships: Ensures interests, needs, concerns, and resources of individuals and organizations representing a broad array of groups are represented on a disaster.

Fund-raising: The Disaster Fund-raising track is new under the External Relations DSHR group.  The track works to raise funds and awareness during natural disasters.

Government Liaison: Coordinate services with local, state, federal, and Tribal government partners, as well as internal ARC partners, for the benefit of disaster victims.

Public Affairs: The disaster Public Affairs group is new under the External Relations DSHR track. The group focuses on media relations, publicity, web management, photography, facilitating and conducting interviews, story publishing and raising awareness of the disaster.
