D.A.T. Days in March!
Happy 2010! We have some great training opportunities coming up this year for you to check out.
Disaster Action (DAT) Days
We will be holding a mass training weekends encompassing multiple sessions of all DAT Responder required training courses for American of Red Cross Volunteers. This will be a great event to get up to date on your DAT Responder training and advance to the next level. The trainings will be held on the following dates at USC:
- Saturday, March 13, 2010
- Sunday, March 14, 2010
We realize this dates are quickly approaching, but we wanted to give individuals all the opportunities we can to complete training and get up to date with the DAT standards before we make the switch to Regional DAT and Salesforce Self-Serve.
Training will include the following courses:
- Fulfilling Our Mission
- DAT Workshop
- Client Casework: Providing Emergency Assistance
- Client Assistance System / Client Assistance Cards
- Mass Care Overview
- Shelter Operations and Simulation
- Disaster Assessment Basics
- Logistics Overview and Simulation
- Psychological First Aid
- Disaster Frontline Supervisor and Simulation
- Collaborating to Ensure Effective Service Delivery
- Fundamentals of Chapter Disaster Operation Management
- Emergency Operations Center
We will also be working to hold additional trainings and presentations . . . to be announced!
Training is not just for DAT Responders, if you see a class you would like to take or need for your DSHR activity; be sure to register.
Registration for all classes will be online. If you are not sure which classes you should take, please feel free to email the Disaster Training Coordinator, Jennifer Bailey to receive a customized DAT Responder Training Guide. This is an amazing chance to meet with fellow DAT Responders and DSHR Members and acquire various training courses. We hope to see you all there.
