Wells Fargo is a long-time supporter of the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles. In 2006 the company, and one of its senior executives, Edmond Lelo, who currently serves as chairman of the ARCGLA board, kicked off the new disaster readiness campaign with a donation of $500,000. Wells Fargo gave $500,000 last fall to local chapters of the American Red Cross and other local relief agencies to help victims of the Southern California wildfires. Named last year by the Los Angeles Business Journal as the largest corporate donor to Los Angeles County non-profit organizations, Wells Fargo has donated more than $10 million annually to local nonprofits for the past six years.
