
July 30, 2010 (3:30 p.m.) —The American Red Cross is currently operating one shelter at Marie Kerr Park in Palmdale for evacuees of the Crown wildfire.

Red Cross high school and college youth members are fanning out across Los Angeles this summer performing free puppet shows for preschoolers, ages 3-7, and their families about emergency preparedness, including earthquake readiness.
